WOMEN'S ONLY TRAD CLIMBING EVENTS

2:1 STUDENT TO INSTRUCTOR RATIOS

PROVIDE CUSTOMIZED INSTRUCTION TO WOMEN OF

ALL EXPERIENCE LEVELS

BUILD THE SKILLS YOU NEED TO CLIMB SAFELY, COMPETENTLY, AND CONFIDENTLY ALONGSIDE LIKE-MINDED WOMEN

Our Events

Chicks With Nuts was designed by women who have a passion for Trad climbing, and a desire to share this passion with women. We are here to empower women through climbing.

Our program is unique because of how we teach, not what we teach. Our highly trained, certified guides will give you the skills you need to think critically when making decisions in the mountains.

We believe in quality over quantity. We intentionally keep our events small to offer a more customized experience. Maintaining 2:1 student to instructor ratios allows our guides to give you the hands on experience you need to fit your individual climbing level and goals.

Special Announcement About Our Winter 2021 Events

We are SO excited to announce that our Chicks With Nuts events WILL go on!! They will just look a little different....in lieu of our standard events this winter, we will be hosting smaller, more specialized clinics.

January 22 - 24

Self-Rescue Clinic

Price: $725 includes

  • Two Days Of Guided Instruction

  • Climbing Equipment

  • Friday - Sunday Night Camping

  • Friday & Saturday Night Dinner

  • Saturday & Sunday Morning Breakfast

  • Saturday Night Festivities

Our Self-Rescue Clinic will be capped at four participants with a 4:1 student to instructor ratio in an effort to keep total group sizes down. We are covering your camping as opposed to indoor lodging, and adding one more dinner on us on Friday evening when you arrive! Additionally, we are offering a 10% discount to anyone that signs up with someone in their "Covid bubble".

**This clinic is designed for Intermediate - Experienced Level Climbers**

We're not talking about climbing ability... we're stoked for you, but we don't care how hard you climb... We care about how much time you've spent on the rock and want to be sure you're comfortable with the following:

  • Building basic anchors for Trad and/or Sport

  • Lead and top rope belaying

  • Top belaying (belaying your second from above)

  • Setting up rappels (including extended rappels)

  • Bonus: comfortable using Munter and various friction hitches

  • Bonus: experience lead climbing (either Sport or Trad, ideally Trad)

This would be a difficult course for someone who has just started climbing or anyone who has limited outdoor climbing experience.

February 19 - 21

Gym To Crag Clinic

Price: $725 includes

  • Two Days Of Guided Instruction

  • Climbing Equipment

  • Friday & Saturday Night Camping

  • Friday & Saturday Night Dinner

  • Saturday & Sunday Morning Breakfast

  • Saturday Night Festivities

Our Gym to Crag Clinic will be capped at six participants with a 3:1 student to instructor ratio in an effort to keep total group sizes down. We are covering your camping as opposed to indoor lodging, and adding one more dinner on us on Friday evening when you arrive! Additionally, we are offering a 10% discount to anyone that signs up with someone in their "Covid bubble".

This clinic is designed for climbers transitioning from indoor to outdoor climbing -- Experiences levels may vary

Looking to learn the ropes so that you can start climbing outside on your own? This clinic is for you! Our guides will evaluate your experience level and personal goals to help you start climbing outside ASAP!

This could mean learning to build top rope anchors using bolts, Trad gear, or natural anchors (trees/boulders), or learning the skills required to lead Sport outside. For some this could mean focusing on Trad Fundamentals that will allow you to be a competent partner when climbing with friends. Our guides will provide customized instruction to meet you where you are in your experience level and help you build a solid foundation for climbing outdoors.

Our March & April 2021 Events Will Look Like Previous Year's Events...minus the lodging... we plan on camping for all of 2021!

Other than camping, we expect our Spring events to include our standard group size of eight participants with 2:1 student to instructor ratios. Our student to instructor ratios means that we can accommodate climbers of all experience levels. See our Climbing Curriculum below for more info.
